It's amazing how many photos and cuttings etc we have collectively sourced since 2011 and that those and the collective memories have enabled us to build up a bigger picture of the school (as above) and its history and to realise it wasn't a one off - but part of a national social / education experiment. The team work instilled in the boys through sport has certainly come into play in building this site and helped to create the articles like the one above. Prior to that Coventry had had a Mayor since it was granted its Charter of Incorporation by King Edward III in 1345." So you are right about the change from Mayor to Lord Mayor but this was in 1953 where as the Coat Arms Changed in 1959 - so a bit of a delay it seems. Our thoughts are with his family, particularly Jan and his two daughters and the many friends he made throughout his life, including those students who attended the school. His enthusiasm, his love of life and art, was infectious. Many who attended the school, benefited from his art and thespian skills, having produced and managed such memorable productions as Oliver. His Fagin rendition still resonates until this day. On a personal note, I count myself fortunate, to be taught and guided by Terry throughout my school days. Terry’s memory will never die but be with us, forever more.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1223935927297235277.post-63988973397104211062022-06-10T17:38:52.545+01:002022-06-10T17:38:52.545+01:00This was in the current “Forrest lodge” room 12.
